Marina Sveva’s Shipyard
Marina Sveva’s shipyard has a 70 ton capacity travel-lift and a 20 ton capacity mobile crane, facilitating all typical processes related to the refitting of vessels, including dry dock and engine repair assistance services, and offers 3000 square meters of winter storage space. A ramp is also made available to clients for the towing and launching of small boats and rafts.
The yard’s show piece is a dredger used for the maintenance of the seabed at the port’s entrance and in the harbour basin and allowing for the reuse of excess sand to replenish nearby beaches.
Marina Sveva is also equipped with DRAGFLOW’s remote controlled dredger, an autonomous dredging system that avoids external interventions and high costs. The operator can manoeuvre the remote-controlled dredger directly from the dock, determining the pump’s movements and the depth of the operation. Thanks to this system, users can monitor the seabed in front of the breakwater and eliminate all obstacles that might hamper the port’s accessibility.
